Under close scrutiny it certainly looks cheep. But under close scrutiny, so do many other tricks. My best method so far to help the trick is by holding it in your palm down low with the small part of the card closest you. (you'll understand when you get it). You can also then use your pinky and index fingers to hold the card strait so there is less chance of seeing the imperfections. Then you can cover it with your palm and instantly make it transform without the fear of angles if held low enough to the audience. Finish by tossing in the air, showing both hands are empty and then strike a match!
Ok, so the card could be of slightly better quality and it's not able to be as inspectable as you might wish. (especially if they start taking out the drawer of matches), but I don't think it's a bad trick at all.
