The effect is very visual! Hold a fan of cards, then suddenly transform them into a top hat! Both sides of the card fan can be shown. A great looking item that is well built. The top hat is quite sturdy once open. Upon closer inspection, the fan of cards is more like two fans layered upon each other. It is probably best if your viewers are at least a few feet away. Also, the fan of cards are "solid". Just be aware that you can't "fan the cards" as they are fixed. The hat is very easy to change back into the fan. A very nice item.
