This a quality version of the classic ball and vase effect. Everything is made of wood with a nice lacquer finish. The silk to ball effect also comes with the item to be used as part of the routine. A smaller red sponge ball is also included as well as a 6" red silk. A well explained, nice routine is given as well as an alternate ending (which I prefer; requires a duplicate red silk). I sanded some of the internal compartments on my stem to avoid catching on the spongeball / silk. I also had some slight bleeding of the red paint on the gimmick top that had to be removed. Other than that, the item is very well made! Some slight of hand is required to perform the trick. A beginner can do it but a bit of practice is required. The effect can be performed while surrounded. It would have been nice if a matching silk was included to perform the alternate handling, which I prefer to the sponge ball ending. Except for that, I am very pleased with the item.
