A new milk pitcher. Ho-hum, right? Wait, before you move on , this is worth looking at. A classic effect, made better. Sam Dahal's Funtime Magic has released a new, improved version of the venerable Milk Pitcher. Demo video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RVnpF3Aw4vs The demo video shows the basic "pour the milk into a paper cone" effect, but of course , you can use this to apparently pour milk or another opaque liquid into other types of receptacles (honestly, pouring liquid into a paper cone has never made a lot of sense to me ... bit I digress ...) The prop looks like the type of common acrylic pitcher you would find in a restaurant for serving orange juice, or beer , or soda pop. There have been other pitchers on the market that look similar, but this is a custom injection-molded pitcher and a certain secret something which allows you to display a pitcher full of milk or orange juice or lemonade , or dark beer (or root beer for kid's shows) then apparently pour the liquid into a receptacle such as a hat or a paper sack or a cone , or a funnel, then cause the liquid to vanish. The apparent pour out is 7/8ths of the liquid poured out of the pitcher, not merely half or two-thirds of the liquid poured out as with many of the available pitchers (both past and present). Everything provided is easily cleaned. The only two (small) things that would prevent me from giving this '10 stars' is that the pouring action must be done rather slowly (to be fair, this is the same with most pitchers of this type) and that at the end you can't easily and cleanly pour out the remaining liquid in the pitcher into a glass , as a "prover" that it is real milk (or orange juice, or soda, or beer). For example, in the classic presentation from the film "Houdini", performed by Tony Curtis: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xsu7bvVn-FI In my practicing with it , you could pour out some of the remaining liquid into glass , but not the whole amount. The common argument against using a "milk pitcher" today is that is no longer common to serve milk in pitchers so audiences will think it's a bit odd ... ok ,then use orange juice , or lemonade , or tomato juice, or a blueberry smoothie, or root beer/soda pop , or dark beer. I'm very glad I purchased this item.
