Effect:
The magician displays three chips: one red, one yellow (amber), and one green. They explain that red means "stop," yellow means "get ready," and green means "go!" After showing their hands empty, the chips are covered with a borrowed pocket handkerchief.
The magician begins by removing the red chip, stating, “Red is for stop, so you must stop and think about what color I’ve just removed.” The chip is displayed on both sides before being pocketed.
Next, the magician reaches under the handkerchief to bring out the yellow (amber) chip, showing it clearly and saying, “I remove the yellow one, which means ‘get ready,’ so... get ready to remember which color I am removing now.”
Finally, the performer asks, “That leaves just one chip. Can you tell me what color it is and what it stands for?” The spectator responds, “Green” and “Go.” The magician then blows on the handkerchief and declares, “Go!”
