The performer takes a borrowed and marked coin and places it into a beautifully crafted wooden box. After wrapping the box in a handkerchief, it's handed to a spectator, who can clearly hear the coin rattling inside, confirming its presence. With just a snap of the fingers, the performer makes the coin vanish, leaving the spectator to shake the now-empty box.

When unwrapped, the box is indeed empty, but the magic doesn’t stop there. The same marked coin is discovered later inside a ball of wool or a locked chest—untouched by the performer since the coin's disappearance.
