A Colorful Piece of History

Step back in time to the interwar period with the "Vaivorykste" (Rainbow) deck. Originally designed for a Lithuanian government competition in 1933, these cards have been meticulously restored from the archives of the M.K. Ciurlionis National Museum of Art. The deck lives up to its name-"Rainbow"-with each suit featuring a distinct rim color, creating a vibrant spectrum when spread or fanned.

Masterful Artistry

The artwork was hand-drawn by the renowned Lithuanian-Russian artist Mstislav Dobuzhinsky, famous for his expressive cityscapes. The cards are exploding with color and feature patterns deeply rooted in Lithuanian Folk Art.
  • The Aces: Marked with the letter T (Tuzas), featuring detailed ornamentation.
  • The Kings: Marked with K (Karalius), showcasing crowns stylized with their respective suit symbols.
  • The Queens: Marked with M (Mergele), featuring traditional Lithuanian imagery and floral motifs.
  • The Jacks: Marked with B (Berniukas), depicting figures holding farming scythes and the kankles (a traditional plucked string instrument).
Premium Quality & Handling

While the design is historic, the production is modern luxury. Printed by the United States Playing Card Company (USPCC), these cards are crafted on premium casino-grade paper stock. They feature a classic Air-Cushion® finish, ensuring the cards slide perfectly for shuffling, dealing, and cardistry. The back design, based on 1919 carvings by Kazys Jakomas, has been adapted to minimize white space for a seamless visual experience during shuffling.
